Innovation & Integration

Tangio Printed Electronics is a global leader in the design and manufacture of an innovative and market-leading range of force and touch-sensing solutions. We occupy a unique space in the Human-Machine-Interface (HMI) market, being both a technology innovator, and a manufacturer with over 30 years experience.

Tangio is also unique in its approach to technology. We embrace multiple platforms to deliver integrated solutions to our customers, be that resistive force sensing, capacitive proximity sensing, or other novel developments in printed electronics.

Our team enables customers to take their touch requirements from initial concept to prototype, production, and global distribution. Our solutions are multi-market relevant and deployed globally in a wide range of applications and markets.

Tangio’s history of working with innovative suppliers and companies in new product development enables us to select the latest and best materials available. Our design and engineering team includes electrical, mechanical and industrial engineers, who collaborate with designers, suppliers and graphic artists to meet your creative objectives and bring your design to life.

In the early stages of development we ensure that functional requirements are met and are scalable to higher volumes. The use of printed electronics allows rapid prototyping and testing at lower cost and risk. Our engineering team closely monitors each project and tests it at every stage to ensure quality, effectiveness and consistency. New designs can be verified through:

  •     environmental chambers

  •     life-cycle testing

  •     precision force indicators

  •     electrical insulation strength testing

  •     automated Micro-Vu for precision measurements

With meticulous attention to detail, Tangio provides the highest standard of customer service and has the skills and resources to expertly respond to all requests. Allow us to guide you through the growing and exciting field of printed electronics, bringing together the best people, materials and resources to create unique solutions for your needs.

The Tangio Advantage

At Tangio we eat, sleep and breath printed electronics. Our engineers and designers collaborate with the worlds leading process and materials companies to ensure we are at the cutting edge of technology, quality and value.

Case in point, Force Sensing Resistors (FSRs) are available from several established and technology-start-up vendors of varying capability and quality. At first glance they all look the same, with a selection of industry standard sensor shapes and sizes. However, that's where the similarity ends.

Tangio force sensors deploy the latest FSR inks, materials and process technologies, resulting in superior performance in critical parameters such as environmental stability, part-to-part repeatability, drift, hysteresis and durability. Further, we stand by our data sheets so when you choose a Tangio sensor you can design it into your application with confidence. We achieve this without using unproven materials or additional processes that increase cost, risk and development lead-times.

Over 30 years experience means we not only deliver best-in-class standard and custom sensors on-time and within budget, but we stand by our products with unrivalled technical support and customer service.

When considering a partner for your force sensing applications remember that not all resistive sensors were born equal, and at Tangio we're happy to take the FSR "Pepsi Challenge"!

Global Manufacturing

Tangio boasts a global manufacturing footprint, with world-class facilities located in strategically important regions.

Today our Vancouver HQ is a centre-of-excellence for process and materials development, and quick-turn prototyping facilities. Mass production is undertaken offshore in state-of-the-art volume facilities in China, Singapore and India. As you would expect, all factories hold comprehensive ISO quality and environmental certifications, with one site also being TS16949 qualified.

It's relatively simple to design and market a printed touch sensor but incredibly difficult to build it reliably and repeatably in mass production. Trust Tangio to deliver your next project.
